A Clinical Study on Symptom Index of Uterus Myoma

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : In oriental medicine, doctors have treated patients of uterus myoma mainly by checking over each symptom they have. Then we think patients to have symptoms that are classified into one differentiation of syndromes. So I have carried out this study to investigate symptom index of uterus myoma.
Methods :We analyzed the results of Questionnaires for 181 patients who were diagnosed as uterus myoma and visited Dong-Eui University Oriental Medical Center from March 2001 to December 2004.
Results :¡¯Symptom index of uterus myoma¡¯ consisted of eleven disease mechanism ¡ª deficiency of Ki(ѨúÈ), blood deficiency(úìúÈ), kidney(ãì), stagnation of Ki(Ѩôò), liver(ÊÜ), heart(ãý), blood stasis(úìåÜ), dry syndrome(ðÏ), phlegm(ÓÃ), spleen(Þ¡), cold syndrome(ùÎ) ¡ª, three subjective symtom ¡ª hypogastric induration(á´ÜÙÌãÌ¿), xerocheillia(âîËë), subjective degree of cold ¡ª, dysmenorrhea and hypermenorrhea. As a result, almost uterus myoma patients had oriental medical symptom index(93.37%), frequency of symptom index was high in cold syndrome(ùÎ), blood stasis(úìåÜ), some deficiency(úÈñû), stagnation of Ki(Ѩôò), and they were accompanied with each other in many cases.
Conclusion : Because almost uterus myoma patients had oriental medical symptom index, I thought we could utilize it in criterion of clinical diagnosis and curative effect on the basis of my study. And without definite sign, it was significant to consult such important symptom as hypogastric induration(á´ÜÙÌãÌ¿), xerocheillia(âîËë). I thought more studies were needed about questionnaires for the better diagnosis.
